APPLY FOR A GRANT

If you’re a charity or non-profit organisation thinking about applying for a grant we strongly recommend you read our guidance notes for further information about our charitable objectives your project will need to align to, how we decide on which grants to fund, conditions of funding and payments. It also includes information on what we do not fund, such as businesses, costs already incurred or promotion of religion.

Our Grants Team spend a lot of time visiting projects and talking to potential applicants before they apply. We encourage you to contact us by email or on 01234 369500 and ask for the Grants Team, to talk to us about your project before applying.

How to Apply

The form you fill in will depend upon the amount of funding you are requesting:

For projects of £5,000 or less

Your application can be considered under our Small Grants Programme which means you can proceed immediately to the full Stage 2 Application Form without having to fill in our preliminary proposal form.

We will look through your application and we may ask you some additional questions, before it is considered at our Grants Meeting.

For projects of more than £5,000

All funding requests for more than £5,000 will need to follow our two-stage application process.

We need you to send us an outline of your project on a Stage 1 Application Form for initial consideration. We will discuss your Stage 1 proposal at our Grants Meeting and decide whether to invite you to submit a detailed Stage 2 Application. To begin your application process please apply online for a stage 1 or alternatively you can download a Stage 1 Form and email it to grants@harpurtrust.org.uk
