Reaching our community
In 2016 we celebrated our 450th anniversary as a charity, and offered a series of projects and events for the people of Bedford. These included a play about the history of Bedford; 'Somewhere in England', a Run and Fun day at Priory Country Park, a writing competition, an art project, and we also commissioned a special edition of the Bedford Chronicles history book for children which we gave away to schools across the borough.
Since then, we have been running a small number of projects and events each year.
Our aim is:
- to engage directly with everyone in Bedford Borough
- to provide free opportunities and experiences for all involved
- to showcase some of the organisations which we support through our grantmaking.
