A tribute to Suzanne Sharp
It is with great sadness that The Harpur Trust reports the passing of our colleague and friend Suzanne Sharp on Thursday 23rd June 2016.
Suzanne joined us in 2007 as the Trust’s first professional Communications Manager. She showed tremendous dedication and commitment to the role and her many achievements will continue to benefit the organisation for years to come. In particular, Suzanne was instrumental in the transformation of the Trust’s brand identity in 2012 and she developed and implemented strategies and projects which helped to shape the way the Trust communicates with the wider world today. She played a pivotal role in the formation of The Bedford Academy and in the merger which created Bedford Girls’ School. She was also passionate about giving staff a voice and led a number of initiatives including an employee survey and the implementation of a Staff Forum which brought together staff from across the schools and the Trust office.
As well as being a very highly valued member of our team Suzanne was loved by her colleagues and admired and respected by all those who worked with her. She will be sorely missed by us all.
Suzanne’s family have asked for any donations to be made to St John’s Hospice. St John’s provides care for people who are approaching the end of their lives with progressive conditions as well as supporting their families and carers, offering bereavement help and spiritual care. http://www.sueryder.org/care-centres/hospices/st-johns-hospice/get-involved
