Leadership Programme Launch

The Harpur Trust Launches a 3rd Voluntary Sector Leadership Programme With Partners The Cranfield Trust.

The Harpur Trust is launching  a  third phase of its innovative leadership programme, designed to arm forward thinking Bedford based voluntary organisations with the skills and confidence to develop real solutions to the unprecedented challenges facing the sector today.

The programme is collaboration with The Cranfield Trust, the respected free management consultancy founded at Cranfield University. Over the past four years the two organisations have supported seven charities with a package of core funding and intensive management support to help them survive and become more sustainable in spite of the challenges of the current operating environment.

The programme of work has been so successful that a third programme will begin in 2016.  Like its predecessor  programmes, Phase 3 will support  a  small number of high potential  organisations  to develop  leadership, strengthen governance, improve sustainability and build a framework to enable confident future planning over a two year bespoke course tailored to each organisation’s needs.

Phase 3 will also extend opportunities to groups which aren’t ready for the time commitment of the main leadership programme by providing a number of open masterclasses on topics like commissioning and governance, and advice days with one to one help from skilled volunteer consultants from the commercial sector covering topics requested by participants.

If you think your organisation could benefit and are willing to invest staff and trustee time to secure your future, check our grants pages for further guidance and eligibility criteria.
